Morris Miller Library foyer, University of Tasmania, Sandy Bay Campus, Tasmania

Books, muslin, vinyl film
6.5m x 1.5 m x 75cm

Content #2 2003

This was a site specific installation created for the entrance to the University of Tasmania's central library, the Morris Miller. An existing display cabinet was filled with deconstructed books and covered with vinyl film that resembles etched glass. The word CONTENT was then cut out of the film. The work represents the layers of knowledge contained within the library and plays with the shifts in meaning of the word CONTENT, which is both noun and verb.
